"The Faithful Shepherd": a later stratum by a different (anonymous) author, woven into Zohar printings — Moses himself appears in the visions and expounds the inner meaning of the commandments to Rabbi Shimon. Sharper, more ascetic, more messianic than the main body: Torah's laws as cosmic machinery, and a bitter critique of learning without soul ("Torah of the shell").
