nature
The transfigured Enoch — the man who walked with God until walking became flying: flesh turned to fire, given seventy names and a throne of his own at the door of the seventh palace, where he records everything. Chief of angels, patron of scribes, and standing proof that the top of the angelic ladder is a promoted human.

⚠ This node used to say Acher mistook him for a second power because he was "so exalted." That is not the trigger the Gemara gives, and the real one is far more specific. Chagigah 15a: Acher saw him sitting, and said "there is a tradition that above there is no sitting" — a posture, not a rank. Corrected 2026-08-07 by reading the page. And note what the same sentence says: permission had been given to him to sit and write (דאתיהבא ליה רשותא) — a granted licence, which is the mark of a servant. See two-powers.

⚠ The heresy is called the most dangerous case of mistaken identity in Jewish literature often enough that it is worth saying what actually happened to whom: Metatron was flogged, and Acher was excepted from a call to return. See figure-acher.

Tehiru is a walk-in model of the Kabbalistic Tree of Life and its kindred ways — built to be explored, not read. This page is a still frame of one node; the app is where it moves.
