Dārā Shikōh's Majma-ul-Baḥrain set Sufi and Vedāntic vocabulary in facing columns — fanā beside mokṣa, the divine names beside Brahman's aspects — and argued that the two oceans meet without either losing its salt. It is, as far as this annex can tell, the closest historical analogue to what Tehiru is doing, attempted four centuries earlier by someone with a great deal more to lose. And the Jewish side is almost in the room: his Sufism is the same tradition that Abraham Maimonides had openly adopted in Egypt four centuries before, and which this annex's Sufi door documents as the one cousin that actually touched the Tree. Two links of a chain that never quite closed. He was executed in 1659, the charge of apostasy resting largely on this work.

Tehiru is a walk-in model of the Kabbalistic Tree of Life and its kindred ways — built to be explored, not read. This page is a still frame of one node; the app is where it moves.
