The subtle body's three principal nāḍīs: suṣumnā running the central axis, with iḍā (cooling, lunar, left) and piṅgalā (heating, solar, right) winding around it and crossing at each centre. Set beside the Tree's three pillars — Mercy on the right, Severity on the left, the Middle Pillar between — and the resemblance is the one that made every 19th-century occultist reach for a pencil. But look at what the geometry actually does. The Tree's pillars are parallel and never touch; they are reconciled by a third column standing between them. Iḍā and piṅgalā cross, repeatedly, and the crossings are where the wheels are. One diagram balances by separation. The other works by intersection.
