Ṣaṭ-cakra-nirūpaṇa · the six centres described
correspondences
nature
Pūrṇānanda's account of the six bodily centres — the sixth chapter of his larger Śrī-tattva-cintāmaṇi, and the single most consequential text in the Western imagination of the subtle body. Most sources date it 1577; some read the Śaka year as 1526. The door reports the disagreement rather than picking the tidier number. This is where the honesty of the whole wing sits. Sir John Woodroffe translated it as The Serpent Power in 1919, and that book — not antiquity — is how the six-and-crown system entered English. The rainbow colours everyone pictures are later still, added by the Theosophist C. W. Leadbeater in 1927. So the tidy chakra-to-sephirah chart is a modern synthesis, roughly contemporary with the Golden Dawn, and this app will not antique it. Real as a nineteenth- and twentieth-century construction; false as an ancient correspondence.
