The original journey: through seven palaces to the Throne — with seals to show the gatekeepers at each gate, hymns whose pounding rhythm is the vehicle, the water-test at the sixth threshold, and the Kedushah sung with the angels at the top. Called, paradoxically, DESCENT to the chariot: the deepest ascent is inward and downward at once. The app's Ascent mode walks the seven palaces as the texts stage them — an interactive museum of the oldest itinerary in Jewish mysticism.
