"The Greater Palaces": the central manual of chariot mysticism (c. 3rd–7th c., traditions older) — Rabbi Nehunya ben ha-Kanah teaches the descent to the Merkavah (paradoxically called "descent") while colleagues transcribe. Contains the gate-seals for each palace, the terrifying gatekeepers, the water-test at the sixth palace (say "water, water" at the marble radiance and be rejected), and the great throne-hymns whose rhythmic Kadosh-pounding Aramaic-Hebrew is itself the ascent technology. Includes the martyrology frame of the Ten Sages.
