Third in the descent: Soul, which unlike Intellect must move, reason and unfold in time, and which mediates between the intelligible order and the visible cosmos — one Soul in which all individual souls participate. The Tree distributes this across Binah (the womb of differentiation, where the flash becomes structure) and the worlds of Beriah and Yetzirah. Both traditions hold that your own soul is not a separate thing but a participation in one Soul, which is why return is even possible.
