Nous · the Divine Intellect

The first thing to proceed from the One: Intellect, in which knower and known are a single act, all the forms thought at once rather than in sequence. Its Kabbalistic rhyme is Chokhmah — the undifferentiated flash of wisdom containing everything before anything is distinguished, the point before extension. Where they part: Nous is the highest thing that can be *known*, while Chokhmah is already inside a Tree whose purpose is not knowledge but union.
