⚠ What the rendering claims, and what it does not

⚠ Corrected 2026-08-01. This node said "three optional layers" and said they could all be switched off. Both were true when it was written and both went stale on 2026-07-31, when a fourth layer joined and the switches were removed — these four are now simply how the app looks. The page that criticises this app for making undeclared claims had itself gone out of date, which is the ordinary fate of any self-description that is not checked. It is checked now: a harness fails if this node and shaders.js disagree about the count again.

This app renders its main view in four permanent layers — ⊙ the tehiru, ✎ the letters, ◈ the vessels, and ⌸ the apparatus, the printed-page setting that took the removed veil's job — and every one of them is an argument in light rather than an ornament. Because that is a claim, here is exactly what each is and is not — the same courtesy the Kircher wiring, the chakra chart and the four-headed shin get elsewhere.

⊙ The tehiru — the space itself. After the tzimtzum the Infinite withdrew from a point and left a chalal, a vacated space, holding only the reshimu, the residue of the light that had filled it. So the background is not "black." It is emptied, and it still carries a trace. Doctrine: Lurianic, and already in this app's own nodes. The picture of it is ours.

✎ The letters before the world. The twenty-two, drifting far behind the diagram, so that the Tree is seen standing in front of the thing it was read out of. Doctrine: the Torah precedes creation (Bereshit Rabbah 1:1) and the letters audition before it (Zohar I:2b–3b) — both already in the house. ⚠ But no source depicts this as a backdrop. The arrangement is the app's own visual reading, exactly like "the trail is the sign" in the postures room.

◈ The vessels. The nodes are not solid beads but hollow: a shell with light inside it, and an edge that catches. Keli and or — the vessel and the light — which is the mechanism the whole cosmology turns on, including its breaking. Doctrine: thoroughly Lurianic. ⚠ Rendering the sefirot as glass is a choice; the tradition's vessels are not described as transparent.

◌ And a fourth that was removed the same day it shipped. The veil — a film grain and a darkening at the edges — carried no doctrinal claim at all, and was labelled here as a photographic effect present only because it was beautiful. It lasted one review. ⭐ Worth keeping the reason on the page, because it is the most useful thing this pass produced. The feeling it was reaching for — this looks like every other app — turned out not to be a problem with the picture at all. It was the interface: a platform-default font, pill-shaped buttons, translucent blurred panels, small uppercase dashboard labels. The veil was a grain laid over a symptom. The remedy was to set the app like a printed page instead of a dashboard, which is what the apparatus theme does — and the moment that was done, the grain had nothing left to hide. A layer that claims nothing is the first one that should go when a real cause is found. It went, in one pass, and nothing else moved — which is what the switches were built for.

⚠ These four no longer switch off. The menu that offered them was removed on 2026-07-31 and they became the app's permanent look — which raises the stake of this page rather than lowering it, because a claim you can no longer turn off is one you had better be able to read. That is what this node is for. Nothing here is load-bearing to the doctrine, and nothing here is doctrine wearing a costume.

⭐ This page is the visual half of the app's account of itself. The other half — what the whole instrument is, including the part that makes sound — is app-aspaklaria: the tradition's own word for a glass you see something-not-there through, and its own admission that such a glass can be clear or clouded.

Tehiru is a walk-in model of the Kabbalistic Tree of Life and its kindred ways — built to be explored, not read. This page is a still frame of one node; the app is where it moves.
