The Contraction: Luria's scandalous first move — before creating anything, the Infinite withdrew itself from a point, leaving a "vacated space" (chalal) in which finite worlds could stand. Creation begins with divine self-limitation, an act of making room. Chabad reads it as concealment rather than literal absence — and does not regard that as a softening; either way, absence became the first gift. ⚠ This node used to say Chabad "softened" it, which awards a live argument to one side. Both parties have been shipped in this app since early on and neither was being allowed to speak. Corrected 2026-08-06 — see tzimtzum-dispute. Its resonance with vacuum, void and inflation is the most-cited quantum echo.

Tehiru is a walk-in model of the Kabbalistic Tree of Life and its kindred ways — built to be explored, not read. This page is a still frame of one node; the app is where it moves.
